30 weeks pregnant

I have been an absent blogger. I just haven't had a lot to say I guess! I get so caught up in reading blogs I forget to post sometimes.

I am now officially 30 weeks and 4 days. Betsey Jane is growing like crazy and I am feeling enormous! She rolls and kicks constantly. Lately I have been experiencing nausea during the afternoon, and then she is super active during that time which makes it so so so miserable. I haven't really gotten my energy back, but I am trying to make an effort to pick up the house every day because it makes me feel better and my kids and husband deserve to not live in total disaster. I've gained about 12 lbs so far, but this week I have been craving super starchy and sweet things so I am sure that my weight will go up some. I am now seeing my midwife every two weeks, which is exciting because it's all starting to sink in that I am in the final stretch of this pregnancy. I also think constantly on if this is our last child or not, I am still on the fence about doing something permanent about it. But then again the thought of 5 kids seems outrageous. When I had my first child, the thought of 2 kids seemed outrageous and here I am being blessed with another gift, a sweet daughter very very soon.  Here is a photo of my 30 week bump!

I am making some progress in the girls room, not even close to being done decorating. My mother in law is throwing me a baby shower (totally weird for me since it's my 4th) but she said this baby deserves just as much celebrating as the rest. I am kind of waiting till after the shower to finish decorating. I have picked up quite a few vintage sheets to make some blankets out of and hopefully I'll find the energy to finish them! We are cloth diapering all the way with this baby. I can't believe I didn't do it with my others, I would have saved so so SOOOO much money, and plus it's good for the world.  We are going with bumgenius diapers, and I am going to try some other basic cloth diapers to see if I like them too.
Here are some photos of the girls room,  on London's side.
I made the yarn pom garland for her, she loves to rearrange it  :)
London's bedding is from ikea, the afgan on the end is thrifted. I'm not totally in love with her bedding and I am hoping to make a quilt for it soon, but it may take awhile to get that done probably after Betsey is here.
The dresser was given to us by my mother in law, and will be the changing table. I have this awesome vintage Irish linen with this great Noah's ark print on it in super bright oranges, reds, and pinks that I am going to put above it and then put the fabric hoops around it.

I hope everyone has a fabulous thursday evening, I am sitting on the couch next to my husband while he enjoys opening night for baseball.

xoxo

26 weeks 5 days

26 weeks 5 days

I woke up this morning looking super pregnant but I have no idea where my derriere went? good grief, those have got to be the most unflattering sweat pants ever, but hey I'm keepin it real. Miss Betsey Jane is growing like crazy, kicking like crazy and I am so excited for her to be here.  I have so much stuff I want to get done, but have been postponing until all of the renovations are done on the house because redo-ing bedrooms and flooring takes some major extra dough. But I still have time, 13 weeks till my due date, 11 weeks until she is here. Pretty much the only perk to a cesarean is the early delievery.  I've been battling some major sciatica. It completely sucks. Nothing like walking down an aisle at Target with your left leg going numb and a sharp pain running down your left butt cheek, tmi? who cares. I went to my appointment this week, and I am measuring at 29 weeks which is normal, and I haven't gained any weight in 2 months. Well, I took that to heart and ate a delicious cheeseburger after my appointment. Then last night, I made fried chicken for the first time ever in my life and oh my gosh, soooooooooooooo great. I wish I would have never tried it, I feel like I'm going to end up looking like Paula Dean! I haven't been having too many crazy cravings, in fact my husband requested the heart attack chicken, but I've been wanting oatmeal with brown sugar and milk in the morning, mixed green salad with bleu cheese and candied pecans with raspberry vinaigrette for lunch and then I usually eat a pretty hardy dinner. I guess the lower fat first 2 meals have been keeping the weight down and I feel full. I have been steering clear of soda, well accept for the occasional cherry diet coke from white top (lemoore people know what I'm talking about) and I started getting sick of water so I tried crystal light, and I am addicted. so freakin good! I can't really fit into my pre pregnancy jeans, except for 2 pairs that I consider my fat jeans because I had went down a size before I got pregnant. I bought some maternity jeans and they are baggy after like 15 minutes of wearing them. So I'm not feeling cute in the wardrobe department right now. My feet are wider, yay....so no cute shoes, blah. But no big complaints, I am a very blessed girl awaiting a very loved little gal.
My daughter London said today that we need to get Betsey a tutu so she can be a ballerina. I love my boys so so much, but my gosh is such fun having a girl, soon to be GIRLS. We drank hot cocoa, cuddled on the couch, she was in barbie heels, and we read fancy nancy books....couldn't get any sweeter right?
Then Rowan woke up, came and cuddled and we watched Toy Story, I swear there is no entertainment value in that movie for me anymore. over.it.like.5.months.ago.
